Patriot Pale Ale with Michter's US1 Sour Mash
Renegade Red Ale with Michter's US1 Rye
Irish Stout with Michter's US1 Bourbon
An American Thanksgiving themed platter for two will be cooked by the 57 Headline team. It will feature Michter's Sour Mash glazed ribs, chicken wings, twice cooked fries, corn on the cob, Frank's & blue cheese dip and some Michter's Bourbon truffles to finish.
With such a special occasion like Thanksgiving on November 25th, there was no way the Dublin City Brewing Co could not do a USA themed feast! So they are working with Michter's Whiskey
to host an evening of Irish beers paired with excellent American whiskeys. It will take place in one of Ireland's essential centres of craft beer, 57 Headline on Dublin's Clanbrassil St.
With a history dating back to 1753, Michter's is one of the most celebrated and deeply loved American whiskey brands. They have a core range of four, three of which will be shared on the night, their Rye, Bourbon and Sour Mash. Distributed in Ireland by Intrepid Spirits
, their Irish Ambassador Ian Doody will lead a tasting of the whiskeys.
Head brewer Fergal Murray adds,
"I'm a huge fan of enjoying premium whiskeys alongside our beers. In order to distil a whiskey, one must first make what is essentially a beer, so there are huge parallels of flavour between the two. The spice in Michter's Rye and the sweetness in their Bourbon are both very complimentary to our beers and with the Tasting Club falling on Thanksgiving, this gives us the perfect excuse for a collaboration! Hosting it in 57 Headline, one of the homes of craft beer in Ireland is something I'm very much looking forward to."
